'Stop talking, start planting' – Trees for climate justice
VAUDE combines regional involvement with climate protection. On November 19th, at an academy of the Children’s Environmental Initiative “Plant for the Planet” held at the company headquarters in Obereisenbach/Germany, 57 children from schools around the area learned how environmental protection and distributive justice are linked.
VAUDE places in TOP 3 for the German Sustainability Award 2011
On November 4, the mountain sports company VAUDE was honored at the German Sustainability Day event in the category “Germany’s most sustainable strategies for the future (KMU)” for its social and ecological sustainability.
Green is Worth Gold
On October 14, 2011, the Design Center Stuttgart honored select products with “outstanding, sustainable design”. The outdoor outfitter VAUDE entered this year’s competition with particularly ecological products and was able to celebrate a total of three awards. Daytour, a ski touring backpack, won the International Design Award Baden-Württemberg in Gold, while the Blue One tent and the Serniga sleeping bag were each honored with the “Focus in Silver”.
VAUDE among Top 3 Finalists for German Sustainability Award
Europe’s environmentally friendly outdoor supplier VAUDE has been selected as a nominee for the German Sustainability Award 2011. The family-run company located at Lake Constance is one of the Top 3 finalists in the category “Germany’s Most Sustainable Future Strategies” (SME). The award recognizes businesses that address current and future challenges in sustainable development with unique strategies. The winner will be announced during a gala award ceremony on November 4, 2011 on "German Sustainability Day".
Major success in the red dot award: product design 2011
The VAUDE bike backpack Tracer 16 clearly convinced the judges: in the red dot design award, one of the most renowned international product competitions, the technical All Mountain backpack has now been awarded the “red dot” seal of quality for high design quality by the jury with its panel of highly respected experts. More than 1,000 guests from the world of design, industry, society and media will celebrate the winners of the red dot design award on 4 July 2011. The VAUDE backpack will then be put on public display during a four-week special exhibition in the red dot design museum.
